How to Change Project Visibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can switch a project between Public<\/strong> and Private<\/strong> visibility from the project list. This allows you to control who can see or join that project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Steps to Change Project Visibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Go to Projects<\/strong>
    <\/strong> In the left-side menu of Desklog, click on Projects<\/strong>.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select \u201cProject List\u201d<\/strong>
    <\/strong> Inside the Projects section, choose Project List<\/strong> from the menu on the left.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Choose the Project<\/strong>
      <\/strong> From the list of projects, click on the project whose visibility you want to change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Open the Visibility Menu
        <\/strong> In the project window, look to the top right corner<\/strong>. You\u2019ll see several quick-action menus.

      2. Click the Team Icon
        <\/strong> Click the team icon<\/strong> among those quick actions. This will open a new window or pane.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Change Visibility Setting<\/strong>
          <\/strong> In that new window, look for the Visibility<\/strong> option. You can toggle between Private<\/strong> or Public<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          • Private<\/strong> = only invited\/authorized users can see the project
            <\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Public<\/strong> = all users in your organization can see\/join

            \ud83d\udd0d Notes and Recommendations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            • Changing visibility does not<\/strong> alter existing memberships; it only changes who can see <\/em>the project going forward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • If you change a project to Private<\/strong>, existing public users may lose access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Use Public<\/strong> for open collaboration or internal transparency projects; use Private<\/strong> for sensitive or restricted projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Always double-check after changing visibility that the desired users still have access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
